(48.3 cm) touchscreen for clear resolution in all lighting conditions. An Intel® Core™ i7 processor supports modern software applications. The result is a robust, powerful and highly reliable Type 4/4x operator workstation that can help maximize productivity in harsh oil exploration and extraction applications around the world, in temperatures ranging from -40°C … 65°.

“Finally, one HMI design for one world!” says Product Marketing Manager, Kristen Barbour. “VisuNet XT features North American Class I Division 2, Class I Zone 2, ATEX and IEC-Ex Zone 2 certifications from third party agencies, with additional certifications and approvals, including Marine approvals, underway, for a truly global solution from a leading global company.”

With a polyester powder coated, lightweight, cast marine grade aluminum housing, the IP66-rated VisuNet XT brings new meaning to the concept of a rugged and mobile PC. The front panel features user-configurable function keys. Ergonomic touches such as brightness control down to zero illumination, monitor-off button and a touchscreen-disable button enable the touchscreen to be cleaned without accidentally and unintentionally activating random control functions. Diagnostic LEDs keep the operator informed of touchscreen status, heater status and monitor status. Users will also benefit from flexible networking options that include redundant LAN ports, a multi-mode fiber-optic LAN connection and wireless Ethernet.

These ruggedized HMI also feature advanced heat pipe heat dissipation for reliable fanless operation. The replaceable LCD panel, power supply and solid state hard drive promote field maintainability. Mounting flexibility is realized through yoke mount, VESA mount or panel mount options, as well as rear-mounted junction box options that simplify set-up and I/O connectivity.
