Rugged Electrical Wiring Tester measures voltage drop under load.

Press Release Summary:

Model INSP-3 verifies building wiring compliance to electrical code and shows test data such as voltage drop under load, hot and neutral voltage drop, voltage with load, and ground impedance on large display. Incorrect wiring or voltage drop test failure are indicated by flashing screen. Operating from voltage of 95-140 Vac ±2%, ±2 digits, unit offers user selectable 0, 10, 15, and 20 A loads, tests GFCI and AFCI operations, and also measures fault currents.

Original Press Release:

Model: INSP-3 Wiring Inspector Tester

The INSP-3, wiring inspector is a rugged tester designed to verify building wiring compliance to electrical code, especially voltage drop under load. Identify issues with splices, connections and conductor quality, crucial to safety and performance of the electrical system.

o Testing efficiency - relevant test data (voltage, voltage drop, hot and neutral voltage drop, voltage with load, ground impedance) is presented on a single large display to save operator time - no scrolling or switching screens needed

o Verifies if wiring is tested for load carrying ability that it meets electrical code recommendations for voltage drop under load

o Meter detects faulty wiring in need of repair without removing outlets cover plates, or panel covers:

- Faulty splices and connections

- Incorrect wiring

- Undersized wiring

- Faulty GFCIs,

- Faulty or incorrectly wired AFCIs

- Incorrect line voltage

- Poor ground quality

o User selectable 0, 10,15 and 20 amps loads to verify performance of the electrical system

o Incorrect wiring or voltage drop test failure is clearly indicated by flashing screen

o Will not trip circuit breakers or blow fuses during the test

o Tests GFCI and AFCI operations

o Check ground quality for safety and ability to support sensitive electronic equipment

o Measure fault currents

o Save money and time by eliminating guess work

o NOTE: The Inspector(TM) III does not check the condition of wiring insulation.
