3U Shallow-Depth Chassis Ideal for Mobile Apps

Rugged 3U CyberResearch® RMSC MX chassis are made of 1.6-mm steel that stands up to tough off-road mobile applications. The low height and 15" depth behind panel make this unit ideal for limited vehicle space. A 400-W EPS power supply easily handles five hard drives, seven expansion slots, and five cooling fans.

PCs for off-road mobile applications typically have to fit tight spaces, provide plenty of drives and expansion slots, and stand up to the constant jostling produced by unpaved terrain or choppy waves. The rugged new RMSC MX chassis from CyberResearch, Inc. meets all these needs with ease.

With a generous 400-W EPS power supply, the chassis accepts a wide variety of ATX motherboards supporting high-powered Core(TM) 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo, and Pentium® 4 CPUs. The chassis comes with a CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive, plus four open drive bays that support SATA or IDE drives, depending on the motherboard selected. CPU, drives, and expansion boards are kept cool by two 80-mm fans on the front of the unit, one 60-mm fan on the rear, and two 40-mm fans on the power supply. A lockable front door provides access to two drive bays, two cooling fans, two USB ports, a power switch, and a reset switch.

In addition to RMSC MX chassis - now shipping from stock from $550 - CyberResearch, Inc., also offers complete industrial PCs and monitors, as well as CPU cards, data acquisition, and motion control.
