RS Precision to Display Some of the World's Smallest Parts at the Pacific Design and Manufacturing Show, February 8-10
Attendees can enter the "Count the Smallest Parts" contest at Booth #3864.
EDM and micro-machining specialist RS Precision will be providing industry professionals with "up close" views of incredibly small parts during the upcoming Pacific Design and Manufacturing Show in Anaheim, CA, February 8-10. iPad touchscreen images will showcase the company's EDM and micro-machining capabilities.
In addition, RS Precision will conduct a "Count the Smallest Parts" contest in their booth. Visitors can submit their best guess at the number of precision parts featured in a special display. The person who comes closest to the actual count will win an Apple iPad, courtesy of RS Precision.
RS Precision works with numerous industries that require complex parts, including aerospace, defense, medical, optical, fiber optics, sensors and servo valves. They recently earned their AS9100 Certification, the aerospace industry's quality management standard. RS Precision recently purchased a Mitsubishi EA8PV-Advance which is capable of producing holes down to .001" diameter, and holes to .006" diameter with aspect ratios greater than 10:1. This machine redefines the limits of capability in terms of precision, accuracy, surface finish, smallest inside corner radii, and smallest possible features. Currently, there are only two of these machines in the United States.
In addition, RS Precision recently installed a new Chevalier Smart B818 CNC Surface Grinder. This machine complements two other CNC Surface Grinders already in service, and gives RS Precision unmatched precision form and specialized cylindrical grinding capability.
