NETGEAR(R) Wireless-N Networking Products First in Industry to Ship With Intel 'Connect with Centrino' Certification



SANTA CLARA, Calif., Jan. 23 /- NETGEAR, Inc. NETGEAR's RangeMax Wireless-N Routers (WNR834B and WNR854T) have successfully passed the certification process ensuring compatibility and interoperability with Intel(R) Next-Gen Wireless-N, which will be shipping in Intel(R) Centrino(R) Duo mobile technology based notebooks by the end of January 2007.

NETGEAR's RangeMax NEXT Wireless-N Routers, which have been "tested and verified to work together" with Intel(R) Next-Gen Wireless N, were subjected to extensive real-world tests by Intel over the course of several months in typical home and enterprise environments. During the certification process, the RangeMax NEXT Wireless-N Routers were not only tested for compatibility with Intel(R) Next-Gen Wireless-N, but were evaluated for performance, extended range, co-existence with other 802.11b/g clients and access points, and the ability to eliminate Wi-Fi dead spots.
