Route1's Subscription-based Services to be Integrated into Novatel's 3G Product Line

TORONTO, Oct. 10 - Route1 Inc. (TSX-V:ROI), a leading global provider of security and identity management solutions today announced they have entered into an OEM Distribution Agreement with Novatel Wireless, a leading global provider of 3G wireless broadband access solutions. Route1's subscription-based services, including TruOFFICE(TM), will be integrated into the Novatel Wireless product line of next generation wireless modems.

When introduced later this year, Novatel Wireless ultra compact USB modems with TruOFFICE will be the first devices of their kind, enabling users to gain secure access to their data and software applications from anywhere in the world. TruOFFICE empowers today's highly mobile workforce with an unparalleled level of security and ease of use. It also ensures corporate regulatory compliance, and provides organizations with highly robust disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.

Initially, Route1's subscription-based services will be available on the Novatel Wireless MC-727 EV-DO Rev. A and MC-950D HSDPA/HSUPA ultra compact USB modems. The integration of Route1's MobiNET(TM) service delivery platform is expected to be expanded across the entire Novatel Wireless product line in the future. Novatel Wireless and Route1 will collaborate on future MobiNET subscription-based services leveraging Novatel Wireless' leading-edge technologies such as GPS.

"Our agreement with Novatel Wireless provides Route1 with a significant opportunity to rapidly increase our subscription base, without incurring the expense historically associated with subscriber acquisition costs. Ultimately, the result is improved margins for Route1," said Andrew White, Route1's President and CEO. "This agreement is a natural extension of the multi-tier distribution strategy that we adopted last year. Partnering with industry leaders, like Novatel Wireless, puts our products and services in front of the largest number of potential target customers, in the shortest possible time."
