Grass Valley, CA. January 28, 2002---Newly introduced by JDK Controls are "DO IT YOURSELF" Potentiometer Element and Rotor Wiper Assemblies. They provide 100,000,000 revolutions minimum of the smoothest, infinite resolution precision sensing money can buy.
Actual thickness is only .187". No shaft housings or bearings are needed, so they take up only about half the space of standard size potentiometer units. By reducing this redundant packaging, users can reduce system space, weight and packaging costs, all at the same time. Just slip the assembly over the shaft of your motor, lever, actuator, etc. Reliability is significant. They will run continuously at 4 RPM, 24 hours per day, 365 days per year and last for 50 years minimum
The new Potentiometer Element Rotor/Wiper Assemblies come in "Do It Yourself" assembly kits which include the element shaft, shaft insulator, rotor assembly and assembly instructions. Only a few minutes are required for assembly. In addition to standard sizes, kits can be customized with virtually any diameter, resistance, linearity, thickness or electrical angle required.
