Roto-Rooter® Franchise Experiences Improved Workflow with Standard Register's ExpeData® Digital Writing Solution Implemented by FamHost®


DAYTON, Ohio, Oct. 26 /-- Standard Register's (NYSE:SR) ExpeData® Digital Solutions group announced today that FamHost ®, offering a hosted management system for service companies, has integrated ExpeData's Anoto-based digital writing solution as the front-end capture solution to their existing hosted services for a Roto-Rooter® franchise in Wichita, KS. When used in combination with FamHost's services, ExpeData's digital writing solution helps Roto-Rooter, the largest provider of plumbing and drain cleaning services in North America, simplify data collection and inventory management, while improving cash flow and customer service.

Roto-Rooter field plumbing technicians are now armed with digital pens and digital paper forms which they can use to record details of customer calls at the job site, just as they would with a regular pen and paper. Instead of dropping off paperwork to an office for data entry or scanning, data is routed automatically from a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone to backend systems at the Roto-Rooter office, where staff review and manage the active job and provide feedback to the technician before he leaves the site. Additionally, parts inventory can now be updated in real-time, as soon as the technician finishes the job, allowing vehicles to be restocked with parts prior to the next service day.
