Rotary Transducers offer Auto Centering Feature.

Press Release Summary:

Series RT600 and RT700 Non-Contact Transducers offers full 360° absolute position capability. Auto Centering Feature eliminates need to mechanically adjust sensor to rotating mechanism. Series RT600 is a 1-piece transducer, while Series RT700 consists of non-contact transducer and separate magnetic target attached to rotating mechanism. Both operate in severe environments and can be configured with PWM or 0.5-4.5 Vdc output.

Honeywell Introduces the RT600 and RT700 Series Noncontact Rotary Transducers

FREEPORT, Ill., August 26, 2003 - Honeywell [NYSE:HON] Sensing and Control introduces the all new 360-degree RT600 and RT700 Series Non-Contact Rotary Transducers, which offer full 360-degree absolute position capability, with the exclusive Auto Centering Feature (ACF). The ACF eliminates the need to mechanically adjust the sensor to the rotating mechanism, thus saving time and cost in the sensor installation process. Truly a "Bolt-N-Go" device that is easy to install, the RT600 and RT700 series provide accurate absolute position over a wide angle of rotation, and are designed to operate in the most severe environments.

The RT600 is a one-piece transducer. The RT700 is a two-piece transducer. Additionally, the RT700 series sensing system consists of a non-contact transducer and a separate magnetic target attached to the rotating mechanism. The target is isolated from the transducer, which produces zero torque load on the rotating mechanism, zero hysteresis and eliminates wear surfaces.

Currently, the RT600 and RT700 series are available with an operation angle range of 360 degrees and can be configured with either a PWM or 0.5 Vdc to 4.5 Vdc output. Custom angle ranges can also be provided.
