Rotary Sensor offers less than ±0.5% independent linearity.

Press Release Summary:

With operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C, Series RSC 2800 non-contacting rotary position sensors are designed to operate in extreme industrial environments and provide protection to IP 65 standard. Performance is unaffected by static/dynamic shaft loads of up to 20 N in both radial and axial directions. Features include electrical measurement angle of 30-360°, lifespan of more than 50 mil movements, and repeatability of less than 0.03% of output signal range.

New Non-Contacting Rotary Position Sensor

Southborough, MA-- Novotechnik introduces the RSC 2800 series of non-contacting rotary sensors. Measurement angle is determined by detecting variation in the orientation of a magnetic field due to a magnet attached to the shaft. Custom circuitry performs field orientation detection and filtering while providing an analog output that is proportional to angular position.

The series provides independent linearity of <±0.5%. Electrical measurement angle ranges from 30 to 360 degrees. RSC sensors provide a lifespan of more than 50 million movements, and feature repeatability of < 0.03% of output signal range.

The RSC 2800 series performance is unaffected by static or dynamic shaft loads of up to 20 N in both radial and axial directions. RSC 2800 sensors are designed to operate in extreme industrial environments and provide protection to the IP 65 standard.

The RSC operates in an environment of -40 to 85 °C. Housing diameter is 28mm (0.66 in), and the elongated slots on the housing allow easy mounting.

Novotechnik is a leading manufacturer of rotary, linear position sensors, and position sensing components.
