Press Release Summary:
Suited for mobile and harsh environments, RSC Series features non-contact technology with rotating shaft, while Vert-x E Series has no shaft, but includes round position marker that mounts separately from detecting sensor component. Sensors offer programmable angular range to 360° and resolution to 14 bits. They range from miniature units measuring 13 mm dia for use in tight applications to rugged 48 mm rotary angle models sealed up to IP69K for adverse conditions.

New Non-Contacting & Touchless Rotary Sensors
Livonia, MI - With recent additions of the RFC, and Vert-x E series, Novotechnik's lines of non-contact and fully touchless rotary position sensors now include six different series of rotary position sensors. These are ideal for mobile and other harsh environment, limited-space applications.
These sensors feature two sensing technologies. The first is non-contact technology with a rotating shaft and is found in RSC- 1300, 2200, 2800 and 3700 series. The newest technology is Novotechnik's unique touchless technology, with no shaft, that features a round position marker that mounts separately- a distance from the detecting sensor component. The Vert-x E and RFC series sensors are based on this touchless technology.
Novotechnik's rotary sensors extend from miniature sensors measuring just 13 mm in diameter for use in tight applications to rugged 48 mm rotary angle sensors sealed up to IP69K to operate under adverse conditions.
Specifications include programmable angular range to 360°, resolution to 14-bits and up to unlimited mechanical life. These position sensors are available with a wide range of options including: analog, incremental, SPI, PWM and redundant outputs. In all, there are dozens of models and options to choose from.
