ALMCO Engineering, Stainless Steel Construction Assures Superior Performance in New Washer

Cabinet-Style Model RCW-30E Offers Numerous Features for Long Life, Low Cost of Application

ALBERT LEA, Minnesota (December 5, 2002) - A rotary parts washer with a long-lasting, easy-maintenance stainless steel cabinet and internal components is the newest addition to the broad line of parts cleaning equipment and systems from ALMCO, Inc.

Ideally suited to manufacturing cell applications in larger plants, or to shop locations specifically for parts washing and drying, the compact Model RCW-30E offers carefully engineered features for superior cleaning capability. They include a spray system arrangement that assures maximum coverage of parts; two removable parts baskets (one optional) that hold large individual parts or many smaller parts that can be washed at the same time; a collection channel allowing for easy clean-out of the tank; a door on the top for loading the 30" turntable from an overhead hoist if desired; and other competitive features and benefits.

Requiring floor space measuring just 4 feet by 4 feet, the new ALMCO washer - the first in a line of "Turbo Wash" cabinet-style units - is front-loading for easy accessibility and time-savings. Electric-powered, it has a work opening that measures 32 inches wide x 36 inches high, and a load height of 31-1/2 inches. Overall height of the machine is less than 6 feet.

Standard with the RCW-30E are an oil wheel collection tank, removable chip basket, adjustable spray pressure control, NEMA 12 electrical enclosure, door safety interlock, adjustable wash cycle timer, and electric immersion heater. Also available are a tank level option that offers heater protection and automatically maintains liquid level in the tank, and protective coating on the parts baskets for delicate parts cleaning.

Important to equipment buyers, ALMCO notes, is the company's free sample-processing service at its Minnesota headquarters where cleaning of parts in the RCW-30E and other models from the manufacturer can be tested and evaluated. The prospective buyer simply sends in sample parts and information about his cleaning requirements; in return, he receives detailed test results and recommendations from ALMCO's experienced engineers and technicians

"This service," according to President Keith A. Fligge, "assures the equipment buyer that he is receiving the ideal machine for his particular needs. The test information we provide will help him determine the right type of equipment as well as the supplier, and will help justify the costs of purchase and operation over the machine's lifetime."
