BinMaster® Introduces Rotary with Stainless Steel Process Connection for Corrosive Materials

(Lincoln, Nebraska) BinMaster® Level Controls has introduced a stainless steel process connection for the BMRX and MAXIMA+ rotary level indicators that is designed especially for use in corrosive materials. The 304 SS solid stainless steel fitting is available in both 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" NPT sizes and comes with a stainless steel seal/bearing carrier. Rotaries equipped with this connection are configured so all materials that come into contact with the rotary are stainless steel, making it ideal for applications such as food processing or in caustic materials. The connection was designed by BinMaster and is machined in-house in the company's ISO 9001:2008 registered facility.

"This stainless steel process connection significantly extends the life of the rotary in corrosive environments," stated Todd Peterson, BinMaster's vice president of sales. "It fits into existing 1-1/4" and 1-1/2" connections and can be used in conjunction with any of the three-vane, two-vane, insertable or bayonet-style stainless steel paddles offered by BinMaster. One popular configuration is this stainless steel connection used with the collapsible paddle which enables the rotary to be installed and removed without entering the bin."

BinMaster rotaries are designed for level detection of dry bulk material storage and flow in bins, hoppers, tanks, chutes and conveyors. The BMRX and MAXIMA+ fail-safe rotaries can be used in materials with a bulk density as low as 1 lb/ft3 (30 kg/m3) and as high as 150 lb/ft3 (68 kg/m3). Managing material storage and flow with BinMaster rotaries helps prevent bin overflows and costly spills, empty conditions, clogged chutes, and jammed conveyors. They eliminate the need to climb bins to check levels, reduces material waste and unnecessary down time.
