Sonoco Alloyd Unveils New Aergo® 6 Heat Sealing Machine at Pack Expo 2012
Robust new design delivers added safety, convenience and productivity
HARTSVILLE, S.C. - Sonoco Alloyd, a business of Sonoco (NYSE: SON), is pleased to introduce the newly engineered Aergo® 6 heat sealing machine. Featuring numerous design improvements and operator-friendly enhancements, the new NFPA79-compliant Aergo 6 represents a significant upgrade -- and value -- for users.
An affordable entry level rotary machine, the base model Aergo 6 is equipped with one heat seal station and one eject station (both standard), plus two additional open load stations that can be used to accommodate up to two feeders for easier material loading.
Among the most notable improvements to the Aergo 6 is a new heating plate mounting system. Operators simply insert the heat plate into a guided shelf where it locks into place. The heating plate can later be removed just as easily, allowing for quicker changeovers and safer operation. Additional features include an overload alert system, redundant safety switches, touch screen controls, an adjustable/variable speed drive and 36" load height for enhanced operator convenience.

Despite having an ample 12" x 16" seal area, six-inch air cylinder and upgraded 24-volt control circuit, the ultra-efficient Aergo 6 actually has a smaller machine footprint than its predecessor. The Aergo 6 is ideal for a wide range of market segments including health and beauty, electronics, writing and stationery, hardware, medical devices, OTC pharmaceutical, mobile devices, pet care, housewares, automotive and many other market channels requiring high-volume capacity and frequent changeovers.
