Rotary Fans operate quietly with high rpm.

Press Release Summary:

DC Voltage Rotary Fans, Series FBA and FBK, available in 40, 60, 80, 92, and 120 mm sizes, operate at noise levels as low as 21 dBA. Fans with 15 mm thickness are offered in 60 and 80 mm sizes. With fan speed levels to 9,500 rpm, products offer maximum airflow to 114.7 cfm. All fans, except 40 mm size, utilize Hydrowave semi-non-contact bearing design that reduces axial and radial friction. Operating voltages include 5, 12, and 24 V.

DC Voltage Rotary Fans, Series FBA and FBK

Feb. 24, 2003 -- Cornell Dubilier is proud to announce the addition of the DC Voltage Rotary Fans, series FBA and FBK. These fans will be available in the 40mm, 60mm, 80mm, 92mm and 120mm sizes. We will also be offering the 15mm thickness in the 60 and 80mm sizes. The fans are quiet with noise levels as low as 21dB-A. They also do a quick job in cooling with RPM levels as high as 9500 and maximum air flow levels as high as 114.7CFM. Many of the fans will be stocked at our warehouse in New Bedford, MA.

Operating voltages available are 5, 12, and 24 volts and have the UL, TUV, and CSA international approvals with the exception of the 40mm size, which does not have CSA approvals. The primary bearing system for the 60 to 120mm fans is the Hydrowave system. This system is a semi non-contact bearing design that greatly reduces the axial and radial friction by utilizing a unique production process in addition to a special oil lubricant. This technology enables the fan to generally maintain the initial noise level over the projected life of the fan as opposed to traditionally ball bearing or sleeve fans that become quite noisy over time.

Resale pricing ranges from $5.70 in 100 piece and up quantities. Production quantities are available from stock to twelve weeks.

Applications include cooling of power supplies in office automation equipment, medical instrumentation, communication equipment, and ventilation and cooling of home appliances.
