TWINSBURG, OH - Pepperl+Fuchs introduces BVS58/BVM58 Series AS-Interface Absolute Rotary Encoders. These new encoders are available in two versions: single-turn with 13-bit resolution or multi-turn with 16-bit resolution. They offer IP65 protection, and are available with a servo flange and 6mm shaft, or clamping flange and 10mm shaft.
The BVS58/BVM58 series position value is output to the master within a single cycle via four integrated AS-Interface chips. Each slave address can be individually set. A preset function allows the encoder to be set to zero at any time.
BVS58 versions offer shaft speeds up to 12,000 rpm with a maximum axial shaft load of 9.8 lbs. and maximum radial shaft load of 13.3 lbs. At 6000 rpm they are rated for axial/radial shaft loads up to 40 lbs. BVM58 versions offer shaft speeds up to 6000 rpm with axial/radial shaft loads to 40 lbs.
