Rotary Brushless DC Motor provides over 90% efficiency.

Press Release Summary:

With nominal voltages down to 24 Vdc, Model BG 95 provides 1,100 W of output power continuously and is suitable for autonomous vehicles and other similar battery-powered applications. When operating at 3,650 rpm, continuous torque is 2.9 Nm and max torque is 10.4 Nm. Also, with optional integrated encoder system, motor offers higher resolution positioning and speed control using either 4,096 ppr incremental or 12-bit absolute encoders.

Original Press Release:

New Rotary Brushless DC Motor is Compact and Efficient

A new, compact brushless DC motor which provides 1100 W of output power continuously and which can be overloaded by up to four times is the latest addition to the established range of Dunkermotoren rotary brushless motors.  With nominal voltages down to 24 VDC, the BG 95 brushless DC motor is particularly suitable for autonomous vehicles and other similar battery powered applications.

The BG 95 is designed to provide efficiencies of over 90% which results in low current consumption and minimises the need for battery charge.  When operating at 3650 rpm, the continuous torque is 2.9 Nm and the maximum torque is 10.4 Nm. Also, with its optional integrated encoder system the motor offers higher resolution positioning and speed control using either 4096ppr incremental or 12bit absolute encoders.

The motor is available in two different sizes, BG 95 x 40 and BG 95 x 80 and expands the Dunkermotoren range and the modular system in terms of output power.  It can be combined with planetary and worm gearboxes (up to ratio 710:1) as well as with encoders and brakes that are specially designed to fit the motor.
