Flexicon's 2100 Rollstock Offers Solution for Hard-to-Hold, Barrier Applications

Cary, Ill. (September 17, 2003)-Flexicon Corp.'s new 2100 rollstock has been developed to address hard-to-hold applications and/or those which also require excellent barrier properties.

The high-performance structure-polyester/foil/polyester/polyethylene sealant- provides excellent moisture, light and oxygen barrier in demanding product situations.

The material can be used as a primary package for challenging applications, such as iodine, baby or hand wipes, and other aggressive products. It is also ideal as a secondary form-fill-seal overwrap or for preformed pouches for products which require oxygen, moisture or light protection, such as liquid pharmaceuticals, creams, medical devices, etc.

The foil-based material, sandwiched in between polyester layers, offers an excellent "first defense" against oxygen. The polyethylene sealant layer works in tandem with the structure's density to protects the adhesive system from delaminating when it
comes in contact with aggressive products.
