High Speed Roll Feeds Handle Thin-Stock With ±0.0005 Inch Accuracy



A full line of servo-driven roll feeds for handling thin-stock used in fabricating membrane switches, cooling components, and similar products is available from Waddington Electronics, Inc. of Cranston, Rhode Island.

Waddington LD Series Roll Feeds feature a brushless, low-inertia servo motor and closed-loop brushless feedback for absolute position feedback. Coupled with 2" dia. smooth steel finish rolls, a heavy-duty dowel pinned frame, permanently lubricated anti-friction bearings, and anti-backlash gears between the top and bottom rolls, these roll feeds handle thin stock with ±0.0005" accuracy at speeds up to 1,000 SPM, depending upon size.

Available in sizes for stock from 3" up to 25" W, with maximum stock thickness to 0.125", Waddington LD Series Roll Feeds feature productivity enhancements such as portable push-button jog forward and reverse controls, a standard NEMA-4 industrial keypad, and full RS232 integration. Their proprietary software simplifies changing feed parameters including length, feed, and acceleration.
