Rockwell Automation to Showcase Plantwide Control Solutions and Technology at POWER-GEN International

Company to showcase methods for achieving higher levels of reliability while reducing operational costs

MILWAUKEE, Nov. 28, 2016 - Rockwell Automation will feature a suite of solutions for the power generation industry to enhance efficiency, optimize plant operations and meet regulatory requirements at POWER-GEN International from Dec. 13 to 15 in Orlando, Florida.

At the Rockwell Automation booth (4236), industry professionals can learn more about integrated plantwide control systems, specifically focused on the PlantPAx distributed control system, which provides seamless integration between critical process areas and the balance of the plant. This enhanced visibility to real-time production information from the turbine to the transformer helps enable faster, more reliable decision-making.

“Today’s energy producers are looking for ways to maximize existing assets to increase power generation reliability and availability. An integrated control system can help to optimize and measure productivity, access and analyze critical process data, and help to reduce costs, while building operational efficiencies,” said Tom McDonnell, power generation industry manager, Rockwell Automation.
