Rockford Specialties Expands Capabilities with Investment in State-of-the-Art Robotic Welding and Press Brake Technology

Rockford Specialties has announced the expansion of its robotic welding and press brake capabilities with the acquisition of a Panasonic Tawers 750S Robotic Welder and an Accurpress Edge Press Brake.

"Over the past 12 months, more and more customers have come to us looking for ways to increase throughput, reduce costs, and expedite turnaround, all while maintaining the high level of quality Rockford Specialties is known for," said Lisa Stankey, president of Rockford Specialties. "Investment in new technology is key to providing those deliverables. At the same time, with the acquisition of the robotic welder and the new press brake, we are able to manufacture even more complex components with tighter tolerances and greater precision and repeatability. This, in turn, has enabled us to expand our customer base in line with our goals for growth in the furniture, food service, and medical and laboratory supply industries. And with these investments in cutting-edge technology, we are well positioned to meet customers' future requests for innovative applications of stainless steel wire and sheet metal fabrications."

Rockford Specialties provides custom wire forming, laser cutting, welding, assembly and fabrication services for the OEM, consumer products, food service, point-of-purchase, and laboratory and medical supply industries. The company has been family owned and operated in Rockford since 1979. Co-owners Lisa Stankey and Susan Taylor are strong supporters of sustainability initiatives and members of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
