Rocker Switches For Off-Highway Vehicles & Extreme Conditions
APEM's KG series rocker switches are designed for safety of operation and dependability under extreme environmental conditions of temperature and air cleanliness, like those experienced by off-highway construction vehicles, industrial processing equipment, construction cranes and conveyances, motorcycles, dune buggies and similar applications.
The KG models are sealed to IP65 and are tested to meet various IEC specifications for shock, vibration, salt spray and moisture resistance that go beyond most industrial grade rocker switches.
Single pole and double pole models are offered in various two and three position maintained and momentary electrical configurations. Silver contacts provide ratings up to 15A 12VDC, 10A 24VDC or 15A 250VAC and an electrical life of 10,000 cycles at full load, or a mechanical life of 100,000 cycles minimum. The operating temperature ratings range from -40°C to 85°C.
Identification is sure and easy with their generous size, extensive marking options and wide selection of illumination choices, if desired. Ease of operation is also assured , even with gloved hands, due to the precise action and well defined detenting built into these larger and more rugged models. Also, a solid raised bezel surrounding the actuator provides added strength and protection to the switch.
The bezel color is black while the actuator and lenses are available in numerous colors to satisfy coding and cosmetic needs. Screw and clamp or solder lug/quick-connect terminations are optional.
