Henkel Loctite Introduces Line of Robotic Adhesive Dispense Equipment
Rocky Hill, Conn. - September 11, 2003. Henkel Loctite Corporation has introduced a new line of Loctite® Robots for repeated and reliable dispensing of adhesives and sealants onto complex surface configurations. Available in both benchtop and selective compliance assembly robot arm (SCARA) models, these fully programmable robots improve process efficiencies, reduce production costs, and result in minimal material waste.
Loctite Robots are available in four different models, with increasing operating ranges. All models can be ordered in eight different configurations with options including: three or four controllable axes, 110 or 220V power, and standard or CE certification. Simultaneous control over all axes provides 3D linear and arc interpolations for complicated dispensing processes. Specialized application software simplifies programming of the robot.
The Loctite® 200 Series Benchtop Robot has a 200 by 200 mm (7.9 by 7.9-inch) operating range, and a 50 mm vertical axis. The Loctite® 300 Series Benchtop Robot has a 300 by 320 mm (11.8 by 12.6-inch) operating range, and a 100 mm vertical axis. The operating range of the Loctite® 400 Series Benchtop Robot is 400 by 400 mm (15.7 by 15.7-inch), with a 150 mm vertical axis. The only SCARA robot available in the line, the multi-jointed Loctite® S440 Series Robot provides maximum flexibility for complex dispensing applications. The S440 Series Robot provides a kidney shaped dispensing area in two arm lengths, 260 mm or 180 mm.
These compact, plug and play robotic dispensers deliver low cost operation and ownership. All models offer teach-point programming with 100 programs and a 6,000 point memory card. A wide variety of mounting hardware is available.
