Columbia/Okura Robots Offer Fast Efficient Rice-bag Palletizing

Columbia/Okura robotic palletizers can be configured to provide high-speed, efficient stacking of a variety of bag types used to package and ship rice.

Running at speeds up to 24 bags per minute, the machines work with both paper and woven-poly bags, handling weights from 10 to 50 kgs. Reconfiguring the palletizers for different bag types is simple to achieve and requires little down time.

Also, the systems include Columbia/Okura's patent-pending "sling jig," which enables bag stacking for exporting in shipping slings. And the system can be equipped to precondition bags for preferred and appropriate stacking styles.

Columbia/Okura offers a variety of easy-to-operate, state-of-the-art robotic palletizers that include built-in diagnostics and user-friendly pattern programming. These energy-efficient palletizers also feature less moving parts for reduced overall machine wear, even when operating at higher speeds.

The company is jointly owned by Columbia Machine and Japan's Okura Yusoki, two companies with over 100 years of combined material-handling experience. USA customer service and parts support.
