RMD Module from PEC Enables Remote Diagnostics


(Gastonia, North Carolina) -- Process Electronics Corporation introduces the RMD module for Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics control board for power rectifiers. The module becomes standard in all new PEC equipment and it will be offered for retrofit on existing PEC/Udylite equipment. RMD enables technicians at Gastonia to remotely monitor and diagnose equipment anywhere to maintain production.

Features of the RMD module include a separate gate driver board for wide application options including 12 pulse units and electronic reversing. It also has built-in ramp options and paralleling options.

RMD is designed with a serial port for diagnostics and other communications protocol. It can be networked with several rectifiers for simultaneous monitoring and diagnosis from a remote location. It contains an internal sequential log for diagnostics and live control parameter tuning.

The RMD module gives PEC customers the added benefit of having PEC technical support only a phone call away. Technicians in Gastonia can troubleshoot equipment problems remotely, make adjustments or provide recommendations for repairs if necessary. If PEC technicians are sent for repairs, the particulars of the repair are known in advance and the technician can come better prepared for that service.
