New ProSet 1600 Rivet Tool Combines High Force-to-Weight Ratio
Weighing less than 2 ¼ pounds and featuring a force/weight ratio of 509 lbf/lb the ProSet(TM) 1600 Rivet Tool sets from 2.0 mm micro rivets up to 1/8 inch diameter rivets in all materials and up to 5/32 inch open-end all steel rivets.
SHELTON, Conn., (May 26, 2006) - Emhart Teknologies today announced the introduction of the latest tool in the all newly engineered POP® ProSet(TM) line of rivet tools: the ProSet(TM) 1600 Rivet Tool.
Built from rugged cast aluminum and high strength polymers, the ProSet(TM) 1600 Rivet Tool is a compact, lightweight tool with a very high force-to-weight ratio, enabling it to set all aluminum, all steel and all stainless steel rivets from 2.0 millimeter to 1/8 inch (3.2 mm) diameter, as well as 5/32 inch (4.0 mm) rivet diameter open-end all aluminum and all steel rivets.
The combination of compact size and high power makes the ProSet(TM) 1600 an extremely versatile tool for production line use enabling the user to maneuver the tool in tight spaces. A comfortable ergonomic design offers a low activation force two finger trigger and the small rounded handle reduces user fatigue.
Thanks to the unique quick disconnect nose housing, the front end components can be serviced in minutes - without tools. An innovative left or right, On/Off swivel air fitting provides additional flexibility, conserving energy and reducing operating costs. With the Mandrel Collector system, spent mandrels are instantly collected and with the quick disconnect system, disposal takes no time keeping work areas safe and clean with minimal downtime.
