Edmund Industrial Optics Announces LED Ring Light Adapters for Machine Vision
October 15, 2002, Barrington, NJ - Edmund Industrial Optics (EO) of Barrington, New Jersey announces the release of filter thread adapters for integrating their LED ring lights into machine vision lenses and systems.
The 4-in. diameter extended working distance LED ring lights are long-lived illumination sources, which can be mounted in front of video lenses without blocking the viewing path. Previously, this type of ring light had to be mounted to a fixture with brackets. Users can now easily attach EO's 4-in. LED ring lights to the front of many video lenses using the lenses' front filter thread. These adapters slide into a flange protruding from the back of the ring light and are held in place by three set screws.
The anodized aluminum adapters are available in twelve industry standard filter thread sizes, ranging from 30.5 mm to 72 mm thread diameter. The adapters mate with Edmund's MVO(TM) line of video lenses (Double Gauss, Telecentric, MMS(TM)) as well as any lens with the same filter thread.
