Rigid Couplings Transmit High Torque Without Keyway



A new line of rigid couplings that are ideal for unsupported shafts, shafts running at high speeds, and vertical shafts with suspended loads is being introduced by Stafford Manufacturing Corp. of Wilmington, Massachusetts.

PowerRing(TM) Rigid Couplings transmit three-times the torque of conventional clamp-type couplings without a keyway and are easy to assemble and remove. Consisting of two PowerRing(TM) collars and a compressing sleeve, they have a smooth bore and are ideally suited for applications with unsupported shafts, shafts running at high speeds, and vertical shafts with suspended loads.

Available in standard sizes from ¾" to 2 ½" bore with axial load (torque) handling capacity from 232 to 3,209 ft.-lbs., respectively, PowerRing(TM) Rigid Couplings can also be supplied with stepped bores in various sizes.
