Hollow Shaft Right Angle Gear Motors



St. Charles, IL. -Bison Gear & Engineering, Inc. of St. Charles, Illinois today announced it has developed a new hollow shaft right angle gearmotor line.

Bison's customers will benefit from several mounting configurations, including base, end, side flange, shaft mount, and pilot. Shaft options include 3/4" hollow, along with double and single extension 3/4", 5/8", and 1/2" diameter shafts with keys.

Three AC motor options and four DC motor options span a horsepower range from 1/8 to 1/4 horsepower. Gear ratios range from 5:1 to 60:1. The new product line is all ball bearing and synthetic oil lubricated for maximum efficiency. The motors used run at 1800 rpm for low noise and low temperature rise, compared to most competitors who routinely run at 2500 rpm input speeds.

The new product line is stocked locally through Bison's nationwide distributor network, supported with Bison's lean manufacturing operation in St. Charles, Illinois. Bison
