Tennant Company to Showcase 7400 Power Scrubber with FaST(TM) at 2005 National Plant Engineering and Facilities Management Show

Rugged and reliable 7400 industrial riding scrubber now offers enhanced productivity, a higher level of cleanliness, and unprecedented safety

CHICAGO (March 7, 2005)-Tennant Company (NYSE:TNC), one of the world's leading manufacturers of surface maintenance equipment, is introducing its 7400 riding power scrubber with FaST (Foam-activated Scrubbing Technology) at the 2005 National Plant Engineering and Facilities Management Show taking place in Chicago March 7-10. The 7400 with FaST is on display at the Tennant booth throughout the show.

Offering aggressive cleaning power, reliability you can count on, and unsurpassed durability, the 7400 has long been an industry-leading riding scrubber. Now, the 7400 offers unprecedented productivity and safety with the addition of FaST, a patented foam scrubbing system that efficiently uses less water and less detergent to increase customer productivity and leave just-scrubbed floors clean, dry and safe. FaST is the first and only automated cleaning system to receive "High-Traction" product certification from the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI). NFSI "High-Traction" product certification is akin to a stamp of approval for products that offer a slip-and-fall accident prevention benefit.

"Tennant has been providing the industrial marketplace with innovative, reliable power scrubbing products for decades," said Rick Hammond, senior product manager with Tennant Company. "As a result of our experience, we recognize that industrial cleaning is one of the most challenging tasks our customers' face. The 7400 with FaST is designed to help ease this burden by combining the cleaning power of the 7400, the productivity of foam scrubbing technology, and the safety of cleaner, drier floors."

The primary benefit of the 7400 with FaST is that it allows customers to improve their productivity while consistently meeting or exceeding their environmental and safety requirements for cleaning hard surfaces. More specifically:
o less time spent filling and emptying tanks means higher worker productivity;
o less water and chemical usage means more environmentally safe disposal;
o less water and chemical usages means more slip-resistant floors;
o less detergent usage means its safe for maintaining all floor types; and
o pre-packaged, light weight detergent cartridges mean no heavy lifting or disposal of drums and no direct contact with chemicals.

The 7400 with FaST also offers increased productivity by allowing users to scrub continuously for up to five times longer than conventional scrubbing; cleaning up to two million-square-feet per four liter FaST-PAK(TM); and dramatically increasing water pick-up to the point where the floor is left virtually dry. For restorative scrubbing needs, the 7400 with FaST can also be operated as a conventional scrubber simply by switching off the FaST system.

"For customers who want to improve their productivity, workplace cleanliness, and safety, Tennant's 7400 with FaST is the solution they've been waiting for," said Hammond. He added that the majority of Tennant industrial scrubbers now offer FaST.
