Yale's New Electric Rider Trucks Designed with Industrial Grade Critical Components

The ERC-VG Series Provides Outstanding Productive Value and Economic Life

GREENVILLE, NC, January 12, 2009 - Yale Materials Handling Corporation, a long-standing leader in the materials handling industry, has designed the new ERC-VG electric rider truck with Industrial Grade Critical Components, allowing the lift trucks to operate at maximum uptime and perform at optimal levels. Additionally, these components allow the lift truck to run smoothly during the toughest applications and during maximum lift capacity. In addition to Industrial Grade Critical Components, the ERC-VG consists of application matched performance, intuitive design and comfort, and environmentally trustworthy technologies.

"Here at Yale, we build industrial lift trucks for industrial use from the inside out," said Don Chance, President, Yale Materials Handling Corporation. "The new ERC-VG is built with Industrial Grade Critical Components that set Yale® lift trucks apart from the competition."

Yale® Industrial Grade Critical Components showcase specific components that most affect a truck's overall durability, cost of ownership and productivity. For the ERC-VG electric rider truck, these components consist of:

o Motors- Electric motors ensure the lift truck travels and lifts at speeds required for maximum productivity and throughput.

o Drive Axle- The drive axle of a lift truck is required to absorb significant forces during normal operation, as well as support the weight of the mast and load.

o Electrical System- Employing digital technology, the Yale® CANbus electrical system reduces wiring and electrical connections, resulting in improved reliability and excellent serviceability.

o Hydraulics- Features industrial grade hydraulic components: O-Ring Face Seal fittings, a 10 micron hydraulic filter, and cast iron "stacked" valve sections.

o Steer Axle- The Continuous Stability Enhancement system enhances truck stability in a simple, maintenance free design, without compromising uneven surface travel.

o Mast- Canted load rollers absorb front to back and side to side forces for better durability and reduced adjustments.
