New PE 4000 Series Termed 'Investment In Durability' By Crown

Crown Equipment Corporation, a leader in the pallet truck market for more than 20 years, has introduced a new series of pallet trucks, the PE 4000 Series. Crown calls the new series an "investment in durability " for customers and even offers a five-year guarantee on each truck 's power unit and fork weldment.

The PE 4000 Series is up to 45 percent heavier than industry pallet trucks. This additional steel is used at critical stress points, allowing the PE 4000 Series to handle the tough environment of dock plates and uneven floors. Featuring exclusive structural enhancements, Crown rider pallet trucks have wear plates constructed of T1 steel (the same kind used on bulldozer blade tips)and steel doors that guard against damage to internal components.

Crown places a limited guarantee covering the power unit and fork weldment for five years (from date of installation)against breakage or wear out that would render the power unit or fork weldment unusable or unrepairable. This guarantee provides parts and labor for one year and weldment coverage for years two
through five.

The Crown PE 4000 Series also features the industry's largest drive unit and a 13-inch drive tire for a smoother ride and sure handling of larger loads. The truck 's caster assembly incorporates shim-free, quick-adjust features designed to
increase wheel life, stability, handling, braking and traction.

The PE 4000 Series boosts operator productivity and comfort with new ergonomic features like a sculpted power unit, an exclusive ribbed kneepad design, premium mats and floorboard design. These features protect against heat, jarring motions and bumps that tire operators.

Optional productivity-enhancing features include Quick Coast(TM) and
QuickPick(TM). Quick Coast allows the truck to coast as the operator walks down the aisle performing low-level order picking. QuickPick permits operators to advance quickly and safely to the next pick location.
