RGF's REME(TM) HVAC Cell and Guardian Air PHI(TM) Cell Make Progress in Mexico
RGF Indoor Air Quality Distributors in Mexico are currently conducting rounds of REME(TM) & Guardian Air PHI Cell(TM) product testing for bacteria and virus reduction in hospitals and universities.
RGF Indoor Air Quality distributors in Mexico have been busy conducting tests over the past few months at area hospitals and universities in an effort to demonstrate the effectiveness of the REME(TM) and Guardian Air PHI(TM) Cell technologies www.rgf.com/air_purifier.cfm. Both technologies utilize RGF's Photohydroionization(TM) (PHI(TM)) technology for elimination of bacteria, virus, mold and odors.
Hospital tests on RGF's REME(TM) HVAC Cell were recently conducted by independent testing companies and qualified by a certified Mexican government agency. First tests were conducted at a private hospital, 'Hospital Christus Mugerza del Parque' in the city of Chihuahua. Test results showed reductions in bacteria and virus colony forming units (CFU's) of 95% and 100%.
The second test was at a national hospital "Area Hospital #21, Mexican Social Security Institute", in the city of Monterrey. Test results showed CFU reductions of 96% and 98%. Bill Svec, of RGF said "In both hospitals we wanted to present a "worst case scenario" therefore, each of these tests was conducted in rooms where biological waste is stored prior to disposal. Needless to say, all involved parties were sufficiently impressed with the results."
Guardian Air PHI(TM) Cells were also installed and tested at two universities in the city of Monterrey. The first installation was at the University of Monterrey (UDEM), a private school with several campuses. The second test installation was at 'Technologico de Monterrey', one of Mexico's premier universities with 33 campuses in the country and others throughout the world. Both of these tests are in progress with results expected by December 2009.
Both the REME(TM) HVAC Cell and Guardian Air PHI(TM) Cells are installed into HVAC duct work. The units produce aggressive advanced oxidizers for distribution into the air conditioned spaces. Preliminary tests conducted by Kansas State University showed RGF's REME(TM) and PHI(TM) technologies to be 99% effective in inactivating H1N1 on stainless steel surfaces. www.rgf.com/press_release_detail.cfm?ArticleID=50
