RGF Completes Guardian Air Indoor Air Quality Project for Egg Harbor School District

Summer 2009 sees RGF in association with Falasca Mechanical successfully complete its Indoor Air Quality Improvement (IAQ) Project for New Jersey's Egg Harbor School District

Egg Harbor, NJ. - RGF Environmental Group www.rgf.com, known worldwide for their Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) systems, recently teamed up with Peirce Phelps (www.peirce.com), the Kivlan Group (www.kivlangroup.com) and Falasca Mechanical (www.falascamechanical.com) to complete installation of 330 Guardian Air HVAC and Plug-In Air Purifiers (www.rgf.com/air_purifier.cfm) in eight out of eleven Egg Harbor Schools. The project, a first of its kind for the New Jersey school system, is aimed at improving classroom air quality for students, limiting transmission of seasonal cold and flu in-turn decreasing student absenteeism.

Chris Vosburgh of RGF collaborated with Ray Hemphill and Mike Moriarty at RGF's Regional Wholesale supplier Peirce Phelps and the Kivlan Group's Brad Kivlan, Joe Perhosky and Dwight Butler to spearhead communication with Egg Harbor through the planning stages, which took almost two years. Once the green light was given, the project was awarded to Falasca Mechanical, a large commercial Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning contractor active in the South Jersey and Philadelphia markets. Falasca's Project manager Dave Dandrea and his team exhibited outstanding attention to detail throughout the project going above and beyond to ensure the success of the installations.

Time will tell how the facilities will benefit from the project, but as school resumed shortly after the installation there is already a peace of mind knowing that the district has gone above and beyond to protect the health and safety of their students. RGF's recent independent lab results on the H1N1 Swine Flu virus show a 99+% inactivation1 suggesting that the project will return exceptional value.

How does the Guardian Air work? RGF's PHI and REME Air Purifiers have a unique proactive approach to air purification. They are designed to be installed in the HVAC system and create friendly oxidizers that destroy microbes and gases on contact. These friendly oxidizers are distributed throughout the conditioned space by the HVAC system where they destroy the microbes at the source, without the air needing to travel past the unit for purification.
