RG52P Plant Based Security Shredder
The RG52P, a real workhorse in Vecoplan's full line of plant based shredders, is designed specifically for the secure destruction of paper documents, electronic scrap, and unwanted products.
As with all Vecoplan security shredders, the RG52P cross shreds in a single pass to deliver consistent particle sizes that are determined by the size of the screen employed on the machine. Quick and easy to change, Vecoplan screens are inexpensive and provide you with the flexibility to meet any changes in security levels demanded by the marketplace.
The RG52P is vertically fed via a hopper bolted on top of the shredding chamber. The hopper holds up to 3.75 cubic yards of material and has an in feed opening of 52"x58". Once material falls into the cutting chamber, a 5 HP, two speed, hydraulic feed ram pushes it into a 15" diameter rotor, equipped with 37 (40x40mm) cutting inserts that are turning at 120-145 rpm. The cutting teeth, affixed to the rotor, mesh with a counter knife that is fixed onto the bed of the shredding chamber. Once cut, material falls through the screen below or is recirculated and cut again until small enough to fall through the screen. 60-150 HP The RG52P can be equipped with drive motors ranging from 60 HP to 150 HP.
