RFMD® Extends Shipments of POLARIS(TM) TOTAL RADIO(TM) Solutions to Leading Taiwan-Based Handset Manufacturer

ORLANDO, Fla.-- March 28, 2007--RF Micro Devices, Inc. (NASDAQ: RFMD), a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance radio systems and solutions for applications that drive mobile communications, today announced that it has extended its base of transceiver customers with shipments of its POLARIS(TM) TOTAL
RADIO(TM) transceiver to ASUS, a leading Taiwan-based handset manufacturer.
The POLARIS-supported WCDMA/GPRS multimode handsets are based on a platform using Marvell® PXA communications and applications processors and feature Bluetooth® connectivity and Microsoft® Windows(TM) Mobile software.
