Allendale, NJ ... The newest generation of hand-held, RF Signal Strength Analyzers, featuring 2.9 GHz bandwidth, -117dB/m max sensitivity and a scan rate of 125 channels/sec, is now available from Protek Test and Measurement, a Division of Cigma Technologies Allendale, New Jersey.

Successor to Protek's widely accepted, award-winning Model 3201, the extended frequency range and increased scan rate of the new Model 3290 make it a "natural" for a host of narrow band, wide band, FM, AM and single sideband signal measurements.

The 3290 is priced at approximately 70% of comparable models available in the market. It allows up to 160 pre-set channels to be loaded into memory for rapid scans and displays by personnel doing RF analysis in the field. All functions are menu selectable and all setups can be stored in memory.

Other major features include: an RS232 interface, a 50 Ohm input impedance, audio output with built-in speaker, selectable squelch levels and a 2.9 GHz frequency counter. Display modes are: spectrum, bargraph and frequency on a light green LCD with LED backlighting. One major advantage is the 3290's ability to interface with a PC or lap-top to upload and store measurements and screen displays for future analysis.
