RF Power Meter has accuracy of ±0.5 µW.

Press Release Summary:

Suited for metrology, research, and production testing of RF equipment, Model 1830A can directly read calibrated RF power with 100 and 200 W thermistor style RF power sensors. It includes 4 digit calibration factor resolution stored in multiple tables on per sensor basis, 3-60 dB attenuator support, LXI-C and USB 2.0 compliant communication interfaces for full remote programmability, and heater control for ovenized sensors. Accuracy is ±0.05% of reading.

New RF Power Meter Now Shipping

Geneva, Ohio - TEGAM, Inc today announces the first shipments of the 1830A. The 1830A is a new RF Power Meter intended for applications where the lowest uncertainty measurement is important. These include metrology, research, and production testing of RF equipment.

"Until the availability of the 1830A, low uncertainty RF power measurements were made with a collection of instruments and manual calculations," said Kevin Kaufman, TEGAM's Director of National Sales. "The 1830A provides lower uncertainties and much simpler operation at less than half the cost of current solutions. It also incorporates features that expand its role beyond calibration of 50 MHz reference outputs and signal generators."

The 1830A RF Power Meter is designed to directly read calibrated RF power with 100 W and 200 W thermistor style RF power sensors from manufacturers including Agilent, TEGAM, Weinschel, Hughes, General Microwave, EIP and Milltech. It includes 4 digit calibration factor resolution stored in multiple tables on a per sensor basis, 3-60 db attenuator support, LXI-C and USB 2.0 compliant communication interfaces for full remote programmability and heater control for ovenized sensors. The accuracy is ±0.05% of reading, ±0.5 µW and the thermistor balanced value may be adjusted from 50 W to 300 W which aids in estimating S22 parameters of RF source outputs.
