Inductor Series Now Offers Higher Current Ratings

Gowanda Electronics Introduces an Expanded RF Inductor Series at 2003 Wireless Systems Design Conference and Exposition

24 February 2003, Gowanda, NY (USA) - Gowanda Electronics is introducing an expansion of its "CF1008" Surface Mount Inductor Series at the 2003 Wireless Systems Design Conference and
Exposition being held in San Jose, California (USA) from February 24 - 27, 2003 (Booth #246). The series expansion offers new-model RF inductors with very low inductance values and very high current ratings. The new models provide inductance values ranging from 0.10 microHenries to 1 microHenry and respond to the need for ever-higher current ratings as demanded by new RF applications.

The CF1008 series of surface mount inductors is targeted for use in RF applications in the electronics industry, especially for wireless and portable test & measurement equipment where
solderability is a major concern. Other applications include all RF signal circuitry in communications equipment, medical diagnostic equipment and industrial process control equipment. The inductors are also well-suited for use in computers, computer peripherals, security systems, instrumentation, bar code and laboratory analysis equipment.

The 'CF" series is based on the company's successful 'CC" series, but the core is ferrite in place of ceramic. Both of these wire-wound series are designed with terminations which result in improved solderability and therefore easier/faster assembly, enhanced system performance and greater system reliability. The expansion of the CF1008 series provides the market with inductors that have uniquely high current ratings in a ferrite-core product.

Key to the CH1008 series' cost-effective performance is Gowanda's flexibility to adjust the manufacturing processes to peak the performance for a specific usage frequency. Gowanda
Electronics' CF1008 Surface Mount Inductor Series now provides an extensive selection of models, with inductance values ranging from 0.10 microHenries to 100 microHenries and current ratings (DC max) from 1392 mAmps to 102 mAmps. Wthin this range there are a number of discrete products available with specific inductance values.

The Gowanda Electronics CF1008 series of surface mount inductors offers custom designs that meet the specific requirements of an application. For design details or custom requirements contact Gowanda Electronics at (716) 532-2234 or refer to the company website at www.gowanda.com. Typical unit pricing for the CF1008 series is $0.19 (US Funds) in production quantities.

This extended "CF1008" inductor series complements Gowanda's extensive range of leading edge designs for power and RF applications, including its most recently introduced "SMP 5057" Power Inductors with Higher Current Handling, "SMT 4015" inductors with Improved EWII Performance & Higher Current Handling, "SMT 1803" Smaller Inductors for Wireless Devices, "SMP 1812" High Current Rating Power Inductors, "SMRF 1812" Robust Design Surface Mount RF Inductors, "SMT35A" Inductors With Versatility and Efficiency, "SMRF 2007" Vertical Surface Mount RF Inductors, "SMP 2007" Miniature Vertical Surface Mount Power inductors, "CC" Solder-Friendly Surface Mount inductors and "CMF2" Surface Mount Common Mode Filters.
