16 October 2007

Beverage closure capacity expanded to meet customers' needs

Rexam has expanded its Closures operations further into the Latin American market. In September, Rexam Mega commenced production of the Flex Loc® carbonated beverage closures in Tlajomulco, Mexico. Expansion of product lines will continue with Rexam's H2ODS water closure followed by a line of 1881 CSD and water closures in 2008.

"We are delighted to have the opportunity to provide customers with the same high quality products manufactured in the U.S", said David Beckmann, Managing Director, Closures, Rexam. "We are listening to our customer's needs and responding with packaging solutions that help them with their business."

Rexam entered a joint venture with Bepensa Industries, in May 2007, called Rexam Mega. The result is the coming together of two world class operations excelling in operational excellence and product innovation. Customers will be provided with the exceptional value and service leadership expected under the Rexam name.

Rexam plans to continue its product expansion for customers throughout the world.
