Reversible Vacuum Pump Unclogs or Redirects Materials

Vaccon Company, Inc. of Medfield, Massachusetts introduces a reversible, anti-clogging, air powered material transfer pump that is ideal for conveying complex shapes, bulk materials, small parts up to 4", continuous strips such as trim or scrap from fabrics, textiles, metals or plastics, as well as, powders, pellets, hazardous chemicals and more. The reversible transfer
pumps offer instantaneous vacuum flow, high air velocity and a straight through design providing a responsive, high speed, low maintenance conveying system.

If a clog occurs in the transfer lines, an operator unclogs the line by manually pressing the button on the front of the pump momentarily reversing air flow and dislodging the blockage.
Releasing the button returns the air flow to its original direction and ensures continuous material transfer for unloading vibratory feeders, reloading hoppers, chip removal, caustic
chemical transfer, selvage removal, mandrel collection and other automated process applications.

The unique reversible nature of Vaccon's transfer pump allows it to be used in applications requiring back and forth transfer of materials between locations. In these applications, the pump can be controlled from a remote location using additional valves, and the direction of the product movement can be reversed for sustained periods. For additional versatility and control, the pumps can be configured for both remote operation and manual operation/ override at the point of installation.

Vacuum flow rates range from 0 to 375 SCFM and are controlled by regulating the input pressure, while material flow capacity is determined by the inside diameter of the pump (16 models ranging from 1/8" to 4" ID with vacuum levels from 0 to 10"Hg).

Pumps are made of anodized aluminum or corrosion resistant stainless steel for high temperatures, abrasives and food service applications.
