Original Press Release:

RF/RG Series Return Line Filter

The Universal Filter International RF Series tank top mounted filter is ideally suited for both mobile and industrial applications.

With an inside to outside flow path through the element and a magnetic pre filter as part of the cartridge, the RF Series ensures maximum particle removal and that no contamination is lost during element change over.

Available from stock in eleven sizes with ports to 2 1/2" SAE flange, the RF Series filter will handle flows from 25 GPM to over 300 GPM. High capacity elements are available with a wide range of media from 25um cellulose to 6 um glass fiber with B>200.

A 22 psi bypass is available with a range of indicators from a simple gauge to both visual and electrical differential units. An electrical indicator with thermal overload is also available to eliminate false signals during cold start conditions.

When fitted with a flow diffuser, the filter releases the returning filtered oil into the tank below the oil surface level thereby minimizing any aeration of the return oil.

The UFI RG Series filter comprises the element and support structure of the RF Series with a unique diffuser design allowing the complete assembly to be inserted inside the tank eliminating accidental damage to the filter assembly that could occur with external mounting. The RG Series allows system designers to build a filter system, with all of the RF Series features to meet the specific tank configuration.
