Original Press Release:

New Resistance Weld Monitor from WeldComputer Corporation

WeldComputer Corporation has introduced a new, low-cost, easy-to-use monitor that warns resistance welding manufacturers immediately if their process drifts beyond acceptable limits. The unit is programmed by turning the keyswitch to the "teach" position and making some welds. The key can then be removed to maintain security over the limits. Instructions for standalone, out-of-the-box operation are clearly printed on the front for operator convenience. An accessible fault output and a reset input provide for easy integration of the WeldAware Monitor with PLC's and other automated systems. The basic unit checks the profile of secondary current, secondary voltage, resistance and power for each weld and turns on a built-in red alarm light if user-selectable limits are exceeded. The monitor can be upgraded to include force or pressure monitoring.

A complete, basic system sells for under $2000. For more information, please visit the special WeldAware Monitor website at www.weldaware.com.
