Replacement Gauge Glass is available in 2 configurations.

Press Release Summary:

Replacement borosilicate gauge glass is available in sizes from 1 to 9 in transparent and reflex configurations. High-pressure gauge glass, with flatness tolerance of 0.002 in., is also available. Transparent gauge glass lets light pass through and makes liquid level visible. For fluids that are erosive or corrosive to borosilicate glass, protective shields can be incorporated. Reflex glass uses integral prism to identify liquid level.

Original Press Release:

Replacement Borosilicate Gage Glass, Choose Transparent or Reflex

A wide selection of replacement borosilicate gage glass is now available from L. J. Star, Inc. Gage glass sizes from 1 through 9 in both transparent and reflex configurations are in stock and available for immediate delivery. High-pressure gage glass, with a flatness tolerance of 0.002", is also available for those applications beyond normal transparent glass pressure limitations.

Transparent gage glass is designed to allow light to pass through the gage and make your liquid level visible. For fluids that are erosive or corrosive to borosilicate glass, such as steam, protective shields can be incorporated. These shields are manufactured from transparent material such as Mica.

Reflex glass incorporates an integral prism design to help identify your liquid level. Light striking the area of the glass covered by liquid continues to pass through the glass and into the gage chamber. This results in a dark appearance to the glass. Light striking the area of glass not covered by liquid is reflected back. This creates a silver appearance. Since liquid must contact the prism grooves in the glass for this effect to work, shields cannot be used in conjunction with reflex gage glass.

L. J. Star also maintains an inventory of gage glass gaskets and Mica shields for sizes 1 through 9 ready for immediate delivery.
