Sensaphone® Launches Cost-Effective, Web-based Remote Monitoring System

for Computer Rooms and Refrigerated Facilities and Frozen Storage

Web600 standalone alarm notification system connects easily to local networks.

ASTON, Pa., April 22, 2009 - As the current economic downturn drives companies to scrutinize every dollar, keeping networks intact and working is more important than ever before. Sensaphone's new Web600 remote monitoring system makes it possible for IT executives to guard their bottom line by:

  • Protecting their largest investments - buildings, equipment, data and other assets;

  • Reducing downtown caused by unexpected condition changes, such as power outages or heat-related equipment failure;

  • Avoiding monthly monitoring fees; and

  • Not overpaying for a full-function system.

    The Web600 monitoring and alarm notification system quickly and easily connects to any local network, giving complete control via user-friendly Web interface that can be called up on any networked computer. Users can program sensors, set thresholds, check current conditions and view time-stamped data logs for up to six wireless sensors.

    Equipped with appropriate sensors, the Web600 system can monitor indoor temperatures to user-designated thresholds. Thus, it is well suited for use in computer rooms, data storage rooms and other locations where electronics continuously generate heat and equipment is particularly vulnerable.

    The Web600 system can also monitor indoor temperatures down to -85°C (-121°F), making it well suited for use in ultra-low freezer storage and refrigerated facilities. This includes retail storage of frozen goods, blood banks, food manufacturing plants, drug and biopharmaceutical manufacturing, and medical cryogenics facilities.

    In addition to temperature, the unit can be equipped to monitor for humidity, air quality, water leaks, power outages and other threats. When conditions exceed established thresholds, the Web600 system notifies up to eight people via email and/or text message.

    The Web600 system offers variable programmability that allows you to sample conditions at intervals from one second to one month. With an optional battery backup it can operate for up to two hours during a power outage.

    As with all Sensaphone products, the Web600 system operates without any monthly service fees.
