Fast Installation and Safe Remote Switching

Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) has developed new remote control switches of the 5TT series for use in domestic and utility buildings and in industry. The L and N-terminals of several remote control switches can be connected via busbars to save time. Mounting on busbars makes the devices easier to install. There are other benefits covering service and following a power failure. The operating state can be quickly ascertained and manually corrected with the help of the contact position indicator. The new remote control switches are available with one or two NO contacts or with a combination of NO and NC contacts. The actuating voltage is between 8 and 230 volts. Loads of up to 250 volts and 16 amps can be switched. The switches are suitable for distribution boards with 70-millimeter installation depth. The new 5TT42 relay is used primarily in switchgear applications. There are different versions with NO contacts, a combination of NO contacts and NC contacts, and changeover contacts for different coil voltages and high switching capacity (250 or 400 volts and 16 amps). All devices have VDE certification.
