Remote Charge Converter features ultra low noise design.

Press Release Summary:

Measuring ½ in. dia by 3.2 in. long, Model 2771C transforms piezoelectric transducer's high impedance charge output to low impedance voltage proportional to transducer's charge output. It provides frequency response of 0.4-50 kHz, operates within constant current range of 4-20 mA, and is available in fixed gains of 0.1 mV/pC, 1.0 mV/pC, or 10 mV/pC. Operating from -40 to 212°F, converter withstands shock loads up to 100 g peak and radiation up to 1.0 MRads.

Endevco Introduces Ultra Low Noise Remote Charge Converter

Endevco introduces new ultra low noise remote charge converter for more precise piezoelectric transducer measurements.

Endevco Corporation, the leader in sensing solutions for demanding vibration, shock and pressure applications, today announced the introduction of its new model 2771C ultra low noise remote charge converter. The 2771C improves upon the industry standard 2771B by reducing low frequency noise by over 50 percent compared to currently available devices, enabling more precise measurements from piezoelectric transducers.

The Endevco model 2771C transforms a piezoelectric transducer's high impedance charge output to a low impedance voltage proportional to the transducer's charge output. This low impedance signal output is less susceptible to noise pick-up which is vital for critical measurement applications including mechanical system health monitoring, modal analysis, flight testing and drop testing.

"The 2771C is a perfect complement to our broad line of piezoelectric transducers and can be used in both new and existing test set-ups to reduce noise across the entire measurement spectrum," commented James Fisher, Endevco Marketing Director. "Since this device is critical to many applications, we will be adding it to our list of Test Essential(TM) items which Endevco guarantees to be in stock at the time of order."

As an ultra low noise device, the 2771C provides a frequency response of 0.4 to 50 kHz and operates within a constant current range of 4 to 20 mA. It measures ½-inch in diameter by 3.2 inches in length and is available in fixed gains of 0.1 mV/pC, 1.0 mV/pC or 10 mV/pC. Custom gains may also be available in quantities.

The 2771C is designed to operate over a wide temperature range of -40F to 212F (-40C to 100C) and withstand shock loads up to 100g peak and radiation up to 1.0 MRads. It also supports the proposed IEEE P1451.4 TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet), a memory chip that allows storage and recall of sensor data including sensitivity, model number, serial number, manufacturer, date of last calibration and sensor location.
