Pelican Unveils the First Product Developed by Their Advanced Area Lighting Group



TORRANCE, CA - August 21, 2008 - Pelican(TM) Products, Inc., announced today that their Advanced Area Lighting Group, has rolled out the 9430 Remote Area Lighting System (RALS), a compact, 22-pound, portable area lighting system, as their first product.

Built with versatility in mind, the system features a swiveling telescope mast (extends to nearly 3 feet), a 360 degree articulated light array and a wide area handle for easy gloved grip and transport.

The 9430's 24 next-generation LEDs and dual power mode (with water-proof switch) radiates 2,000 lumens in high and 1,000 in low. Powered by a 15-hour rechargeable battery, the system offers up to 8 hours of peak brightness and takes 7 hours to be fully charged.

With an extremely durable, water-resistant, polymer construction the 9430 is available in black and yellow. The system has an MSRP of $800.00, and, like all Pelican products, comes standard with the Pelican Products Legendary Lifetime Guarantee of Excellence: "You break it we replace it. forever."
