Unique Ultra-Inert Pressure Relief/Control Valve Presents On/Off Control and Relief Operations in a Single Unit
Boonton, NJ: An innovative ultra-inert valve has been developed by Bio-Chem Valve Inc. by combining features from a variety of technologies to address control and pressure relief applications in processing high purity or aggressive fluids.
The new 075RS series of relief valves features a built-in solenoid, powered by a continuous duty coil, that permits the valve to be opened by a 12 or 24 VDC signal on command. In addition to protecting a system from excessive pressure, the Bio-Chem Valve relief valve functions as a control module that can be used for periodic purging of a system; opening a bypass channel when the pump is running in a closed system; and providing on/off control.
The valve fluid path has been configured to be as short as possible in order to maintain a low internal volume of .054 ccm, thereby reducing carryover fluid left inside the valve. The relief pressure setting is factory set to customer specifications. Standard relief settings are 20,35,60, 85,110, and 150 psi.
The relief valves are designed to isolate the high-purity or aggressive medium from the solenoid. Wetted parts consist of a PPS body and a perfluoroelastomer diaphragm, which also provides resistance to mechanical damage from particulates. PTFE is available for applications involving especially aggressive media.
Model 075RS relief valves are designed for use with a broad menu of chemicals including those used in analytical and industrial applications. For applications that do not require the solenoid actuation capability, Bio-Chem Valve Inc. also offers the 075RV relief valve without the solenoid control feature.
