Reliable Marking of Solar Modules with Color Laser Film by Schreiner ProTech

Oberschleissheim, May 11, 2010 - Protection from product counterfeiting and appropriate handling of warranty claims: Color Laser Film (CLF) by Schreiner ProTech for individual marking of solar modules provides manufacturers with transparency and surety.
To ensure seamless traceability of solar module production and easy handling of warranty claims, various product details have to be documented on the modules. Some of the key product data can only be obtained from the finished module. Therefore, Schreiner ProTech has developed a special film-based component for solar module marking which is directly and inseparably embedded into the solar module during the manufacturing process: the Color Laser Film (CLF) laminated into the module is marked through the glass by a laser. This enables permanent panel-specific marking of each module and definite identification based on the serial number at any time.
For effective product and brand protection, the CLF can be additionally combined with Schreiner ProSecure's KeySecure system: a unique encrypted 15-digit code on each label allows distributors, customs officials, fitters or consumers to authenticate the module on the internet - anytime around the world.
